Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Includes Dust Jacket. First Edition. The free front endpaper shows residue where a bookplate was (could be covered with another plate), and there is some darkening near the spine at the endpaper and next page due to glue, but the book is otherwise clean and unmarked, no foxing, no smudges or creasing, very nice, with just a little bit of rubbing to caps and corners of the blue boards. Dust jacket shows wear, with rubbing to folds, chipping and wear to caps and corners, but still all right--see photos. This book, the first of the American Girl short story collections, is scarce. Contributing writers include Janet Lambert, Betty Canvanna, Sally Knapp, Phyllis Witney, Christine von Hagen, Margaret Leighton, Esther Greenacre Hall, and others. This is an apparent first printing of the book, with no later titles mentioned, nor are any later works mentioned in the bibliographic sketches at the end of the book. Not Signed.
