Book
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Kurt H. Volk (illustrator). Limited Edition. Limited Edition of 1000. On the line where it says 'This Is Number------- Of A Limited Edition Of One Thousand Copies' no number is written in. As you can see from the photographs, the covers are in excellent condition. They are very clean. I don't see any soiling or foxing as is the case with the few others for sale. The gilt lettering on the brown leather spine is very bright. The covers are nearly free of wear, there are light bump/creases at the corners. The interior of the book looks pretty much perfect. The first of the three blank front end papers has a vague bottom corner crease. I didn't see any other imperfections. The pages are exceptionally clean. I didn't see any soiling at all. There aren't any markings. No attachments. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in this book. 'This Volume Was Designed, Decorated And Embellished With Hand-Drawn Initials In The Fashion Of The Fifteenth Century By Kurt H. Volk.' Also the book 'Was Set In Janson And Printed In Four Colors By Offset On White, Heavyweight Fabriano From Fabriano, Italy In The Year Of Our Lord MCMLVIII.'.

Final script for the 1958 film. Missing page 70, likely as used or issued. Based on a 1957 short story by George Langelaan, about a scientist who is transformed into a grotesque, human-fly hybrid after his experiments with a matter-transportation machine go very wrong. A breakthrough hit for actor Vincent Price as well as director Kurt Neumann, although Neumann would pass away a month after the film's release. Basis for David Cronenberg's 1986 film, and its subsequent sequel, "The Fly II," in 1989. Set and shot partly on location in Montreal. Housed in a custom navy clamshell box. Blue titled wrappers, noted as FINAL on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 65 and production No. 792, dated FEBRUARY 27, 1958. Title page present, dated February 27, 1958, noted as Final, with credits for screenwriter James Clavell. 121 leaves, with last page of text numbered 121. Mimeograph duplication on eye-rest green stock, rectos only, with blue revision pages throughout, dated variously between 3-4-58 and 3-6-58. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, with light yapping and creasing to the edges, bound internally with three gold brads.
