Ex-school library copy, with label to rear free endpaper, and a few library marks to front free endpaper. Faint spill stain to blank area of p57, pages otherwise clean. In the original dark green cloth-textured binding titled in gilt, clean, bright and firm, with a little faint label residue round the foot of the spine. In the protected pictorial dust jacket: the front panel illustration (the same as the frontis) is bright, but that on the spine is faded, and darkened at the foot from a former label. There is some soiling to the lower panel, there are small chips to the corners and the spine ends, and there are several internal repairs, including to a long and neatly-closed tear down the front flap fold. Good copy of a scarce title.
