Quarto, eight monographs, each one [24] pages (Number 3 is [28] pages) with illustrations throughout by Mike Hudson (woodcuts and linocuts, some in colour). Flush-cut card covers with French flaps, printed in three colours; in uniformly fine condition. The first number is co-authored; the next four are written by Mike Hudson; the last three are written by Jadwiga Jarvis. The series is complete with the separate introductory volumes (to Numbers 1-4 and Numbers 5-8 respectively, uniform in format, [12] pages, unillustrated; the first one is slightly bumped on the bottom corner; the second one is in fine condition). A fine copy of the prospectus to the first series (octavo, 8 pages plus the covers and a subscription form) is also present. Apart from the prospectus, all volumes are signed by Mike Hudson and Jadwiga Jarvis, and numbered thus: Parts 1 to 4 are all number 36 of 50 copies (their Introduction is number 30 of 45 copies); Parts 5 to 8 are all number 40 of 50 copies (their Introduction is number 40 of 60 copies). Loosely inserted in the first introductory volume is a typed letter signed by Jadwiga Jarvis, a friendly missive combining interesting bibliographical information with ample proof that the book-printer's lot is not a very profitable one. Three short hand-written notes from Hudson and Jarvis, and an associated order form, are also loosely inserted. [11 items].
