This is a combined set comprised of three volumes, published four years apart by different publishers, which have been rebound by the former owner, as indicated on the spines, "Bridges, I-II, Text," "Bridges, III," and "Bridges, IV." "Bridges, I-II" contains approximately 676 pages of text commentary and supplementary commentary regarding the materials in the final two volumes. The final two volumes contain 122+ plates, combined. Plate volumes were published in 1939 by John Weale. Text volumes were published in 1943 in London by Architectural Library, and were bound together by the former owner. Good- (Boards are moderately edgeworn/scuffed/smudged/stained; boards are bowed inward at the outer corners; spine strips are chipped at both ends; inner hinges are cracked; signature of former owner on FFEPs; notes penciled ifc; two of the volumes' front or rear covers are pulling away from the spine with the ffep and spine strip; textblock edges are darkened/foxed/smudged/scuffed; plate volume entitled "Bridges.Section I: Theory" shows some serious dampstaining to the title page which, miraculously, does not carry beyond that page; interiors have toning/smudging/foxing; plates are mostly in excellent condition, however, you will find some folded plates have closed tears at the folds or peripheries; textblocks, overall, appear solid.).
