Book First Edition Signed
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Edition. Hardcover, 1st edition, limited edition, this being copy number 388 out of 1000 produced, SIGNED by both authors, but also signed by the daughter of one of the original 1110 slaves of Middleton Place. This daughter, Martha Demers, had lived on the plantation since 1920 and was still working there in August of 1980 when she signed this particular copy of the book. She was unaware at the time that her surname was French. A lovely clean fresh copy, only significant flaw is that the bottom edge of the back portion of the dust jacket is creased and has some loss. Otherwise a superior copy. Signed by Author(s).
