Softcover. Condition: VG, sewn, in orig. red wrapper. 96 p.; frontis. (aerial view of seaside setting); 18 cm. The development of 'Lee Manor', home of the Wichehalse family in the 17th century, rebuilt in the Victorian era by 'Squire' Bailey and renamed Lee Abbey, above Lynton in north Dorset. The estate was purchased for an Anglican evangelistic centre and dedicated in 1946. The founders 'were agreed upon a three-fold basis of evangelistic work: "(i) the need for personal conversion; (ii) team work on a basis of complete honesty and frankness; and (iii) putting all activities and plans under the direction of the Holy Spirit".' (p. 16).
