Very early reprint, the original Copyright was 1866, this edition dated 1867 from the same publisher. Super rare title faded maroon HC book has gilt font on spine, gilt text box with raised font on fc, and is in FAIR+ Shape. Boards have 19th. Century slanted coffin edges with rounded corners. Some corner bumping, spine end damge, top and bottom. Water stains to both covers, brown eps have po names in pencil, soilled page edges, slanted spine, extensive foxing throughout, especially on all 6 steel cut engravings (all present, last one is pulling loose, but still attached). No missing pages, with a mild musty odor. No DJ. Great reading copy! Collection of wholesome, short stories. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
