Inscribed to Joe DiMaggio: "Whenever you refer to these books try to remember some of the great times we had in California together. I know that I will never forget nor will I allow to become weak the bond that exists between us. With much admiration, Your buddy George [alias: 'Big George' 'Racer' 'Egroeg']." The presenter is probably race car mechanic George Bignotti, a fellow San Franciscan and Motorsports Hall of Famer, who developed the first Indy car. With a letter of provenance signed by DiMaggio's two granddaughters.
