Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. While there are general texts on telemedicine and guidelines on the use of telemedicine in pediatrics, there are no texts focused specifically on the provision of health care to adolescents and young adults using telemedicine. Adolescents and young adults have more unique health care needs than both adults and children, including the need to receive developmentally appropriate services and care that may be provided in settings outside of the standard clinical office (such as school-based care). In addition, in most US states, adolescents are capable of providing consent for some but not all medical care, highlighting the critical importance of providing services in a manner that adheres to regulations around consent and confidentiality. Telemedicine for Adolescent and Young Adult Health Care offers readers case-based content written by experts in the fields of adolescent medicine and telemedicine. There are a variety of chapters that include anemphasis on equity, diversity, and inclusion and will include local and federal rules, regulations, and considerations for ensuring privacy in the modern electronic health record. The first chapter offers a general overview and history of telemedicine. The next one focuses on telemedicine and epidemics. The chapters in the middle detail a variety of topics related to telemedicine such as confidentiality, equity, telemedicine and learners, school-based care, telemedicine in primary care and ambulatory consultative care. The book closes out by emphasizing additional populations such as youth involved in the juvenile carcel system, homeless/housing insecure, foster involved youth and youth with developmental delay. It is a valuable resource for adolescent medicine specialists, pediatricians, primary care physicians and any other professional who treats the adolescent population. While there are general texts on telemedicine and guidelines on the use of telemedicine in pediatrics, there are no texts focused specifically on the provision of health care to adolescents and young adults using telemedicine. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.

First Edition
Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Two issues of this superbly produced magazine of art and architecture published in Spain. Each about 400 pages, text mostly in Spanish but with much in English as well. Many photographs and reproductions in color and black and white, truly a dense and deep publication. In excellent condition for the most part, with some bumping at the corner tips in parts of both at the bottom and slightly larger bump to the upper corner of about 1/2 of issue 4, still not effecting the text or images much. Issue 4 has a little bump about the spine edge which does not effect the binding whatsoever. Minor sun fading to spine of both issues. Some light scuffs and scratches to the covers of both but hardly so and in clean presentable condition. Oddly both covers present the number of the previous issue, so that issue 3 has the number 2 on the front and issue 4 has the number 3. The theme of number 3 is "habitacion / room" and the theme of number 4 is "casa / house." Issue 3 contributors are Colexio Oficial de Arquitectos de Galicia Craig Kalpakjian, Erwan Bouroullec, Pablo Gallego Picard, Ronan Bouroullec, Erwan Bouroullec, Rosemary Laing, Robin Evans, Mary Lucier, Michael Rakowitz, Casey Mack, María Asunción Salgado de la Rosa, Larry Sultan, Mathias Goeritz, Juan Creus Andrade, Chus Pato, Anxos Romeo, Estevo Creus, Yolanda Castaño, Marco Aristògatoff Issue 4 contributors are Thomas Roma, Jonas Dahlberg, José Manuel Gallego Jorreto, Jorge Pardo, Claus Carstensen, Jes Vagnby, Erik Nielsen, Maria Papadimitriou, Yorghos Tzirtilakis, Isidro Blasco, Fernando Quesada López, Holger Klein, Pamela Theodora, Bobby Baker, Herme Ciscar, Mónica García, Tanja Jordan, María Fullaondo Buigas de Dalmau, Txuma Sánchez, Santiago Alba Rico

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Adolescents have unique nutritional needs when compared to young children and adults. As youth go through physical, cognitive, and behavioral development, nutrition needs are dynamic and changing. If these needs go undetected and remain unaddressed, the results can derail physical and social maturation and include life-long effects on health. This comprehensive text offers a multidisciplinary perspective on aspects of adolescent nutrition. Using clinical cases, it covers relevant topics related to adolescent health including normal development, chronic health conditions, and complex biopsychosocial dynamics, among others. The first section of the text contains an overview of adolescent nutrition that is further broken down into more specific topics such as developmental nutrition needs, needs of active youth and athletes and media influences on body image. The next section focuses on health disparities such as culturally appropriate care, health equity, international considerations and food insecurity. The following section specifically addresses eating disorders ranging from anorexia and bulimia to binge eating. Finally, the last section covers additional health considerations such as polycystic ovarian syndrome, teen pregnancy, substance use and gender non-conforming youth.Written by experts in the field, this book is a helpful resource for primary care medical providers, registered dietitians/nutritionists (RDN), adolescent medicine specialists, as well as advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, psychologists, licensed social workers, and certified athletic trainers. 856 pp. Englisch.
