Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. 1999 Harper, UK. Two versions of the same story. First. This is the true published 1st printing 1st edition fine copy of Bear's viral WW III novel, Darwin's Radio. This is an excellent clean copy, appears unread, clean text block and boards, with a nice sharp dustjacket which is not price clipped. Second. In addition is a fine proof copy of the "same" book which is clean and sharp apart from the bottom edge of the text block which is a bit smudged. This proof copy is "almost" unread with just light spine creases, but no bumps or dents, and apparently has considerably different text from the final publication. So two slightly different versions of the same story? The proof and published book are the same block size but the proof has 512 pages and the published version has 430 pages. Two big books so special price for the two though postage will be a wee bit more than advertised, particularly if outside the UK.
