Hardcover. Condition: Very Good-. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good-. First Edition; First Printing. SIGNED copy. SIGNED to the foot of the Title page "Best Wishes Tony Lewis" - & ALSO Signed on the front free endpaper and the Title page by 12 other Sportsmen - possibly all cricketers. I can't recognise them all but it's fairly obvious the book must have been signed at a game/event, probably Glamorgan CC, and amongst the other signatures are Haydn Davies; Tom Cartwright (The First Welsh National coach) ; R. C. Ontong (Rodney). Black boards with bright Silver-gilt titling to the spine. In the original publisher's pictorial dustjacket. The whole book has a slight 'lean' from bad storage. The dustjacket is NOT price-clipped but has one small corner tear, now closed and repaired and the top edge to the dustjacket is a little browned/grubby/creased but mostly on the inside. The dustjacket is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks Very Good. The page fore edges have a little foxing. 251 pp. Illustrated with a central suite of b/w archive photos. Generally very clean but the odd spot/mark here and there in the book. " A cricket autobiography that reads like a novel is a rare treat, but then, as Tony Lewis says, he fluttered into the golden web of Neville Cardus at the age of twelve and never tried to escape. Here are the memories of Glamorgan: of leading them to their Championship triumph in 1969, and of the black day when Roger Davis, felled at short square leg, lay apparently lifeless on the pitch. Memories of skippering the MCC as a novitate in his new England sweater in India and Pakistan in 1972/3 . The sight of A. R. Lewis winding up to take 3 for 18 at Neath with his little leg spinners, Playing Days will delight cricket-lovers everywhere." . Overall a Clean, Tight and Bright copy with the authors' signature and 12 other 'Association' autographs that make this copy something a little Special! . ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Signed by Author.
