The Chapter House of the Convent at Sigena in Spain was burnt down during the Spanish Civil War in 1936 (.). Before the fire, however, the wall paintings had been photographed and the present publication for the first time reconstructs this monumental cycle from the original photographs, in large-scale and detailed illustrations."
