Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. B/W Photographs (illustrator). 2 'nd Edition. Vol. 17 in the `WWII Photo Album' series. The photographs for this 94 page volume were provided by the Bundesarchiv in Coblenz. It shows every conceivable boat and seaman of the coastal patrols in the Kriegsmarine during WWI. Minimal text except as photo - all b/w - captions. LEARN about : a bow bandstand, Kommodore Rudolph Petersen, Kiel, Smith's Knoll, reloads, smoke generators, and the Fairmile D. Cond : paper wrapper is blue with orangey-yellow decoration. Front cover photo is of an R.34 on summer coastal patrol. (NB: What is here called an elk insignia - identifies a `class' of craft - looks a lot like a moose, to me.) . Minimal soiling, no names, marks, creases, nor tears. All edges have light wear. Glue at spine has dried, so I've redone it. Very good reading (working for modellers) copy ! Quote (p. 61) : " The traditional horned and tethered contact mine could be sown by even the smallest of coastal craft available to the Kriegsmarine. " Size: 8vo.
