Ich selbst habe mehrere Jahre in China gearbeitet, und das Buch hat mir dabei sehr gute Anregungen und Informationen gegeben. Ohne auszuschweifen sind hier viele Themen abgedeckt. Besonders gut finde ich die Details und Fallbeispiele, sowie die Erklärungen zur chinesischen Mentalität. Für Manager stellt es die komplexen Sachverhalte in China einfach dar, ohne mit der sonst oft üblichen Menge an Details zu erschlagen. Ich konnte die Informationen daher gut im eigenen Bereich anwenden. Das Buch ist für alle Manager im Chinageschäft sehr empfehlenswert. "Wer Chinesen kritisiert hantiert mit Nitroglyzerin." Mit diesem folgenschweren Satz aus dem China-Ratgeber ist fast alles über die Zusammenarbeit mit Firmen im Reich der Mitte gesagt. Wer dorthin expandieren will, muss sich in erster Linie mit der chinesischen Mentalität auseinandersetzen. Birgit Zinzius beschreibt sämtliche Fallen und Fettnäpfchen, in die ein Deutscher oder Europäer schneller hineintreten kann als ihm lieb ist und wie das umgangen werden kann. Im Gegensatz zur landläufigen Meinung ist der Chinese keine billige und willige Arbeitskraft, die sich auch noch selbst verwirklichen will. Vielmehr arbeitet der Chinese, um seine Familie zu ernähren. Die schnelle Mark in möglichst kurzer Zeit ist nicht zu machen.
