b/w plates, bibliographical references, pict. wrps. OCLC: 950972428.

b/w plates, illus., plans, elevations, facs., bibl. (p. 230-232), b/w pict. fldg. wrps. A detailed study that examines the architecture of Fernando Martínez Sanabria (b. Spain 1925, lived and worked in Colombia since 1938- d. 1991) throughout two of his most recognized residential projects in terms of formal aesthetics: the houses Wilkie (1962) and Calderón (1963). The author uses these residential projects to better understand what is defined as organic architecture, a term invented by architect, Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) to describe modern architecture, a practice that combines nature, function and beautiful design. The present study was originally presented as thesis to obtain the Master's degree in Architecture of the UNC. The present study was originally presented as thesis to obtain the Master's degree in Architecture of the UNC. OCLC: 462784809. Papers presented during the 7th National Seminar of Art Theory and History (Medellín, September 2008) organized by a research group from the Art Faculty of the Universidad de Antioquia. Multidisciplinary academics, critics, curators and artists participated and presented papers with their particular perspective on the debated concept of the "end of modernity" and its aesthetic implications and achievements.

b/w and color plates, facs., plans, exposed stitched binding (Japanese bookbinding), dos-à-dos binding, color pict. slipcase. The exhibition "Tipo, Lito, calavera: stories of graphic design in Colombia in the 20th century", curated by the researcher and designer Juan Pablo Fajardo, constitutes a dialogue between the arts, design and graphics around typography and the ways in which it adapts and reconfigures in our context, always associated with various types of print and the imagery of each era. Through the nodes that are part of the sample, a reflection is presented on the place of the letters and their forms in documents that allow us to approach key moments in the formation of the nation. Thus we will find very valuable reflections on the role of the banknote in moments of conflict; the development of the regional press and its graphic expression; the industrial development of the first half of the 20th century, seen through the labels of the products that were made in the country, and the contribution of artists in editorial design, among other topics.
