Square and reasonably tight. H. Allen Smith, famed literateur, bibliophile and collector, decided to come to London to see things for himself. This journal reveals what he saw, whom he saw, and whether he was sore. The diarist was accompanied by Mrs. Smith and they put-up at a moderate-sized shack in the Strand know to Londoners as the Savoy. Of course, Mr. Smith made it his business to see what was going on at such places as the Tower of London, and other well-known sights. He also made it his business to prowl about Fleet Street --- we prefer not to divulge the names of the many familiar figures Mr. Smith met and discusses in the journal, these are surprises for the reader.
