Interior leaves are clean and tight. "The war with the French power in America was not only rich in picturesque detail and dramatic situation, but formed an important part of the most glorious and epoch-making struggle in which Great Britain was ever engaged." A standard history of the French and Indian War (1755-1760) by a notable late 19th century historian. The work though appearing in 1900, its scholarship still stands up and is worth reading today. Well written and to the point. Includes footnotes and index.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Facsimile reprint of original 1929 edition. A fine copy with no markings or bookplate. In a very good facsimile jacket apparently issued only by the "Friends of Hart Park" presumably for distribution exclusively in their gift shop. Jacket has a couple closed tears and minor soiling. In other words, they took a reprint edition issued without jacket and added their own facsimile jacket of the original edition. The jacket design is the same as the 1929 ed, but the flap text and rear panel are all new and relate to the William S. Hart Park & Museum.

Hardcover. Reprint of 2000. Fine in red cloth covered boards with black text on the spine. An octavo of 8 3/4 by 6 inches. Without a dust jacket and probably as issued. 63 pages of text followed by 4 pages of other volumes in the Arno Press Collection of Historical Perspectives. This title is a facsimile reprint of 1972 Arno Press, Inc. reprint of the original publication which appeared in The American Register Vol. II of 1917. Although the introduction to this reprint is written in the first person there is unfortunately no name at its conclusion to be able to attribute authorship to anyone for this deeply detailed account of Andre's capture and subsequent trial.
