Gold-washed, deep rose & gray marbled paper paste-downs & extra, high-quality paper flyleaves. All edges stained black & polished. The sturdy, handcrafted box features a black leather spine with an applied red leather label at the base, with gilt title; with matching gold-washed marbled paper sides with black leather edge; all edges of box are also in black leather. The inside of box is lined with brushed, rose-colored suede padding. Book and box are in fine condition. Produced by Jarmilla Sobota in the 1990 s. This is an original 1926 copy of A Rude Book, neither a facsimile nor a reprint. Scan shows a portion of the front cover & the spine of the box.
