Brusewitz utförde bl. a. diplomen för Nobelpriset i litteratur 1963-1988 och flera frimärken, men var även en framstående och mycket uppskattad bokkonstnär. Han illustrerade dels sina många egna böcker, ofta på temat djur och natur, dels verk av bl. a. Carl von Linné och Frans G. Bengtsson. Uppsala 1947. Stor 8:o. [iv] + xxxvi + 582 s. + porträtt & fotoplanscher. Med illustrationer i texten. (Zoologiska bidrag från Uppsala, 25.) Nils von Hofsten (1881-1967) var professor i anatomi, senare zoologi och 1944-1947 rektor för Uppsala universitet, känd för sitt engagemang inom genetik och rasbiologi. Inom zoologin intresserade sig Hofsten bl. a. för de ryggradslösa djurens anatomi, embryologi och geografiska utbredning. Sommaren 1908 deltog han i Gerard De Geers expedition till Spetsbergen med båten Svensksund. Nils von Hofsten började tidigt intressera sig för genetiken och fokuserade på eugenik och befolkningsfrågor. Han var styrelseledamot vid Statens institut för rasbiologi från 1926 ända till 1953 (ordförande från 1945). Festskriften innehåller bidrag av J. C.
