An inspiring anthology of prose and poetry in which great writers including Margaret Atwood, Erica Jong, Alice Walker, Clarissa Pinkola Estes, and Joyce Carol Oates celebrate the power of the untethered female. Whether a mother, wife, sister, daughter, or lover, every woman has a wild side. Many women who have had their primal selves stifled by restrictive societies have formulated life-preserving strategies for enduring, and they have been passing this knowledge among themselves for centuries, through their writing. This fine literary anthology offers a glimpse into the soul of the unbridled woman in her element.
