Book
Softcover. Condition: Very Good. Photographic (illustrator). Reprint. foreword by Bill Hayden, MP, introduction by author. At the beginning of the text. There is a map showing the Philippines and specifically Negros Island and The Plan of Cell Seven Negros Provincial Jail. The text is illustrated with three inserts, of four pages each, of black-and-white photography. Photographic card cover with red and black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Father Brian Gore, a Catholic priest from Australia, went to the Philippines, and more specifically Negros Island, and to the poor and oppressed people of that place. He, along with his fellow accused, were thrown into Negros Provincial jail. This is the tale of the political machinations (both in Australia and the Philippines), the trials and eventual exoneration. Creasing to the book corners with rubbing of the book edges and panels. Fading to the backstrip, which has also a reading crease. Browning of the textblock edges and pages. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
