After seven printings, Phillips Petroleum gave the plates for this book to Fort Hays State University to publish additional editions for which this is the first printed by FHSU. Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for the F/O name stamped on the front board in this presentation copy (mistakenly one upside down). Book Condition: Very Good +; light scratches boards; scattered mottling spots on boards. No DJ, no clear vinyl protector as in the original from Phillips. Black cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine; plant stem in gilt on spine; range plant in gilt on front board. Black endpapers. 176 pp 4to. This book is a collection beautifully illustrated color drawing of our native range and pasture plants. Phillips used to produce 6 separate educational books on these plants but has now combined them into this book. The ultimate goal of this book is to help improve grassland use and preservation of these native grasses. A clean very presentable copy.
