Four volumes from the Victorian Collector Series, an informative and illustrated series providing information on Victorian-era collector items. Victorian porcelain, pottery, silver and embroidery are explored in this set by authoritative figures such as Geoffrey Godden and Barbara Morris. All volumes include a foreword by the editor Hugh Wakefield, except one, which is written by him. Included in this set are: Victorian Porcelain by Geoffrey A. Godden (1962; 1st edition, 2nd impression) Victorian Pottery by Hugh Wakefield (1962; 1st edition, 1st impression) Victorian Silver and Silver-Plate by Patricia Wardle (1963; 1st edition, 1st impression) Victorian Embroidery by Barbara Morris (1970 reprint) In publisher's original cloth bindings, with original unclipped dust wrappers, except for Pottery, which has a price-clipped dustwrapper. Light shelf wear to the extremities of the dust wrappers, which are generally bright and smart. Tail of the spine to Embroidery dust wrapper is slightly more chipped, with fading to the spine. Dust wrapper to Porcelain has a tape repair to the verso of the wrap. Fine. book.
