Green flexible blind stamped buckram with gilt decorations and letters on the front cover and the spine. Front matter includes a drawing of the original Charles Louis Ducommun store in Los Angeles, plus three pages of sepia tone photos of the General Offices and Salesrooms, Warehouses, Shipping Facilities, Pipe Yards, Steel Yards, Valve and Pipe Fitting Department in Los Angeles, as well as five photos of the San Franscico facilities. Charles Louis Ducommun, the founder of the Ducommun Corporation, was born in France in 1820 and emigrated to New York in 1840. He settled in Los Angeles in 1849, where he opened a watch and clock repair shop on Commercial Street. Over the years he expanded his store to include other items, making Ducommun Corporation a great commercial enterprise, which was carried on by his four sons. [from the front matter]. Very minor wear to extremities, gilt only slightly dulled, else very good and better--in uncommonly good condition given its size and number of pages/ n/a.
