Book First Edition
Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. The Trans-Mississippi Mails After the Fall of Vicksburg was written by Richard Krieger and is illustrated with older black-and-white photographs of stamps and envelopes with the stamps still attached. The book was published by The Philatelic Foundation in 1984 and appears to be a First Edition though it's not specifically stated as such. It is NOT an ex-library copy and is a trade paperback copy in very good + condition. It has no dust jacket. The book is 6" by 9" and has 74 glossy pages with a Table of Contents, the fore-mentioned black-and-white photographs and a laid in letter written by the editor of the book, John F. Dunn. "This monograph is dedicated to all the collectors of the stamps and covers of the Confederate States of America, past, present, and future, with the hope that more material will come to see the light of day to add to this fascinating and relatively unknown period of Civil War Postal History." Thank you!.

Hardcover. Condition: As New. In excellent condition, no writing or markings, book is crisp and clean. 100% satisfaction guarantee. Shipped with care in a bubble mailer, or better according to price or request. Feel free to inquire for photos or more details. I hand inspect every item, and in some cases professionally remove small smudges, sticker residue, and polish or otherwise improve the book so it is nice as I can make it, I care about quality. I am not a mega seller but a true believer in fine literature. Many (but not all) like new items without specifically listed defects would pass as new according to others standards, but I acquire most of my stock second hand and believe in honesty.
