From his early days in Edinburgh; the Yukon gold-rush and the Boer War, to elephant hunting in Karamojo, Dabossa, the Sudd of the Gelo River, the Lado Enclave, Liberia, French Equatorial Africa, the Ivory Coast, the Niger and the Benue. By ".the greatest of the old-time professional elephant hunters." A great read in conjunction with Bell's other books, The Wanderings of an Elephant Hunter, and, Karamojo Safari. This, the first Safari Press edition, was produced in September 2015 despite the copyright page giving the date as 2016. .
