Inside pages are clean and unmarked, except for the author's signature. The dust jacket has a tiny bit of edge wear and is lightly shelf rubbed. The story of a Scottish millwright, who left the U.S. as a Loyalist and built mills in Cobourg, Peterborough, and Cavan. Scott interacted with early Irish immigrants from the Peter Robinson settlement, as well as dealing with noted entrepreneurs of the day. Illustrated with black and white archival and contemporary photographs. Signed and dated 2004 by the author on the front free endpaper. The Adam Scott Lotus Mill Story, a four page pamphlet, is laid in.
