This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Die seit 1975176 in der klinischen Diagnostik eingesetzte Ganzk6r percomputertomographie hat einen gewissen Entwicklungsend punkt erreicht. 172 pp. Deutsch.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu.

324 pp. Deutsch.

Traditionally this meeting was closed and preceded the International Congress of Ophthalmology in San Francisco. A group of roughly 80 experts on glaucoma - active members of the committee and invited guests - exchanged latest scientific experiences on the progress in pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of the glaucomas. The aim ofthe meeting was to provide quite informal presentations grouped around main topics and ample, lively discussions. The scientific and local organization was in the hands of Jack Hetherington Jr.lSan Francisco and Stephen M. Drance/Vancouver. It is the sincere wish of the society to express warmest thanks to Valerie Hetherington who took in a most charming and efficient way much of the burden of the local organization. The idea of pre-circulation of all scientific presentations 2-3 months before the meeting to all participants and guests proved to be effective with respect to fruitful and stimulating discussions at the site of the meeting. We thank all participants for their co-operation in sending their manuscripts in time. The society is indebted to Chibret Int. Pharmaceutical Company for generous support of this publication. 224 pp. Englisch.

The aim of our meeting was to bring together scien tists from different disciplines to discuss a common topic and to stimulate exchanges between participants. We hope that this goal was reached. This volume is divided into four chapters. In each one the papers are arranged in alphabetical order by first author. Chapters one and two contain papers devoted to descrip tion or modelling of rhythmic biolog.ical phenomena. Chapters three and four deal with models for the study of rhythms invol ving the use of deterministic or stochastic tools capable of fruitful transfer to Biology. We are pleased that these Proceedings appear in a series which constitutes an interface between Biologists and Mathema ticians. We are indebted to all who provided us with their help, particularly the Centre International de Rencontres Math~matiques (C.I.R.M.) at Luminy, the Soci~t~ Mathematique de France (S.M.F.), the Delegation aux Relations Universitaires Internationales (D.R.U.I.) and the Laboratoire d'Informatique et de Math~matiques Appliquees de Grenoble (I.M.A.G.).
