Soft cover. Condition: Very Good Plus. Paul Piech (illustrator). First Edition Thus - Limited to 200. No stated date but believed to be 1969. First edition thus, in a limited edition of 200 copies of which this is No. 4. Unpaginated (12 pages) and 4 illustrations by Paul Peter Piech (1920-1996). "London" is a short poem by William Blake (1757-1827), published in Songs of Experience in 1794. Blake lived in London so writes of it as a resident rather than a visitor. The book has been designed and printed by Paul Peter Piech at his private press - The Taurus Press of Willow Dene - and is Taurus Poem 12 of his publications. The book is staple-bound in the original blue card covers with pink, blue and brown card pages. It is in very good condition with some shelf wear on the covers and the contents are secure and clean. There is a bookplate (that of minor poet David Burnett) on the inside of the front cover.

Einband altersbedingt mit geringen Lagerspuren, sehr kleine Fehlstelle an oberer Ecke, kl. Verfärbung am unteren Rand (Rest ehemaliger Feuchte?) und gering lichtspurig. Papier im Innenteil in sehr gutem, meist fast neuwertigem Zustand, sporadisch minimal lichtspurig - insgesamt ein sehr schönes, audrucksstarkes Sammlerstück in sehr gutem Zustand, War & Misery ist das erste Buch, welches von The Taurus Press verlegt wurde, dem 1959 von Piech gegründeten Privat-Verlag. Piech war ein amerikanischer Künstler und Grafiker. Er wurde 1920 in Brooklyn als Sohn ukrainischer Eltern geboren und verbrachte einen großen Teil seines Lebens in Wales, und er ist besonders bekannt für seine Linolschnitt- und Holzschnitte, die sich für soziale Gerechtigkeit einsetzen. .
