A very fine copy with pictorial dust jacket. Comprehensive and scholarly work on the development of the "clam-shell" dredge used world-wide in reclamation and dredging projects. The work focuses on its use in California's great Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Co-author Ed Dutra was the primary expert on the subject, being a third-generation builder, operator and owner of the long-boom clamshell dredge.
