Proletarian play featuring the family of a factory foreman in a small town in Middle America. Second in a proposed trilogy. Prize winning play in the Theatre Union Annual Competition. Stevenson was later Blacklisted and wrote plays and screenplays as Lars Lawrence including "Counter Attack" and "The Story of G.I. Joe." The Theatre Union produced 8 full length plays in NYC between 1933 and 1937 when it closed up shop and was replaced by the Federal Theatre. Eleven copies located in OCLC as of 2/2022.
