Paperback. Condition: Very Good. In volume 3, the story branches off into another adventure with Sang. However, it begins with Lance sealing the doors to the Mahgae of Hades, the sixth one. We also find out the power of the rings. Depending on the wearer, the rings can have the power to change the gender of the wearer. In Sang's case, when she takes off her rings, she becomes a man, muscular and powerful. When she puts her rings back on she becomes a girl again. Sang requests something from Lance; not to mention her to someone known as President Hyup. In return, she gives them Notra's ring. However, Sang reveals to Notra that she is not part of the Madosa Guild, despite what it looks like, but instead that she intends to stop the Madosa Guild. In the aftermath of all the fighting, Notra, Dev, and Katana bury the dead, which include Chris, Hammer, Mordicus, Tyrannus, and Lukan. Notra recalls a place (perhaps a type of upper-earth), that her mother told her about where many other monsters are. They all leave for that place since the doors to their Mahgae are now closed. Sang begins another adventure and meets a girl, Chun-Lang in the woods. They don't really care for each other but they are both trying to find their way out of the woods. Sang sees a ring on Chun-Lang's finger and is very interested in it. They also run into a fighter named Hwee-Young who tries to fight Chun-Lang because he sees she has a sword. Instead, Chun-Lang runs away from Hwee-Young and comes upon a house, just outside of the woods. Inside the house, a warlock, Alcan, is cooking up a spell in a pot. Alcan also turns out to be a member of the Madosa Guild. Chun-Lang unknowingly ruins his spell and this results in a huge monster, Gigantes, growing from out of the pot. Chun-Lang and Alcan escape into the woods and run into Hwee-Young and Sang. The story ends with a fight between Alcan and Hwee-Young, and Gigantes running into the woods calling Chun-Lang, mommy, because she was the first thing he set his eyes upon being created. Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Kim, Jae-Hwan (illustrator). Shadows of Ice: With Tyri's assistance, Kalec, Anveena, and Jorad travel toward Aerie Peak in order to reach the dwarf, Loggi, a cousin who Harkyn Grymstone said could remove the magical circles surrounding the latter two's throats. But as they fly over the mountains, the party is attacked by an undead dragon, a frost wyrm. Anveena wakes in the company of the tauren, Trag, and the undead figure of Baron Mordis. Mordis befriends her, warning her of the dread creature, Ichor, and the Scourge. It is Ichor, he claims, who is power behind the frost wyrm. But Kalec awakens to find dwarves digging out the remains of frozen beasts and discovers that Mordis is having them do it. Meanwhile, Tyri and Jorad escape from being frozen in ice, only to fall into the hands of Ichor. Ichor is seeking a crystal known as a dragon eye, a magical device used to animate a large undead. However, it is limited to only 1 or 2. The piece was stolen by a Forsaken, Baron Mordis. Mordis senses some power inherent around Anveena. He cares not what it is, only that it can help him amplify the power of his dragon eye and make it able to command an army of powerful undead beasts. With them, he will sweep over not only the Undead Scourge, but the living as well. As for Anveena's companions, he seeks to turn them into Forsaken when the time comes, obedient to his will. For that he will also need the eye. Jorad and Tyri discover Loggi a captive of the Scourge. He is to lead the vilains to the other dwarves. Loggi thinks he can remove the bands Jorad describes, but he'll need his tools, which are back by the other dwarves. Of more immediate concern however, is Tyri, who is in a feverish state, apparently affected more by the frost wyrm's magic than Jorad. She struggles in her bonds and when Ichor seeks to silence her, her unfocused magic lashes out. Kalec finds his way to Anveena, but is captured by Trag before he can reach her. The Tauren wants to believe that his old friend still has some good in him, but finally allows Kalec to take Anveena away. Mordis punishes Trag, leaving him for dead. Meanwhile, a shadowed figure arrives on the mountain. At the same time, Tyri's momentary fever subsides, but not before Ichor's attention is drawn by the cave. Mordis decides to take action and unleash the frost wyrm. Tyri tries to stand against it. Ichor's undead battle the dwarves and Loggi sacrifices himself for Anveena. Jorad saves Tyri by leaping on the frost wyrm and plunging his blade into the skull, but Mordis resurrects another beast. Ichor and Kalec both seek out the baron and end up doing battle. Kalec sends Ichor to oblivion, but Mordis prepares to do the same to him. However, a wounded Trag seizes the Forsaken and the power of the eye destroys the old castle, taking them with. Kalec tumbles earthward and would die, but is saved by a spell seeming to originate from where Anveena and Raac are. Anveena looks at the winged serpent in wonder. But as Kalec descends, a figure emerges from behind Anveena and slaps her hard on the head. Raac is seized in a black box. Kalec hits the mountainside hard enough to stun him and through groggy eyes sees Dar'khan spirit Anveena away. He manages a spell that knocks the box from Dar'khan's grip, but nothing more. Then, vertigo takes over and he can only watch them vanish. Tyri and Jorad find him and, with the dwarves unable to help with the neckband, they use Raac, who seems to sense the proper direction, to follow Anveena's trail, which leads directly to what was once Quel'Thalas.and is now the Plaguelands. Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Eclipse reminisces about the past.Raenef's guild leader was captured by the city guards. Raenef was about to be killed by one of the guards because Raenef. Eclipse was watching from afar and noted that either Raenef would die if he was mortal or Raenef would live because he was a demon lord. The guard was about to strike Raenef with a sword but, all of a sudden, his forearm exploded off his body. This proved to Eclipse that Raenef was truly a demon lord; for Raenef's demon lord powers had exploded the guards arms (although Raenef had no idea that he had done that). Eclipse appeared before the guards and Raenef, and had the guild members released. Eclipse told Raenef that he is a demon lord and that Raenef should go with him. Raenef agreed because there would be plenty of food and because he would never have to steal again. A sage informed the feudal lord (Leeche's father) that he needs to send a bride to the demon lord (Raenef), to appease his wrath (the demon lord being displeased had scorched the lord's land). Leeche goes to Raenef's castle, in place of the bride to be sacrificed, to kill the demon lord who had killed her mother. Leeche finds out that Raenef wasn't the one who killed her mother; however, Raenef still apologizes to Leeche. Leeche's father arrives at Raenef's castle to fetch his daughter, and brings along the real bride and other treasures. Eclipse takes tells Leeche's father to take back Leeche and the bride because Raenef is still a young boy. Leeche leaves, after kissing Raenef, that she will return in 10 years to become his real bride. Leeche warns Raenef not to take other brides or he'll pay for it! Eclipse goes to see Hejem. Eclipse is irritated that Hejem had dumped Chris on him. Hejem explains how he came to meet Chris. Chris was the only survivor after his village was attacked by demons. Hejem could sense that the god Rasaed was with Chris. Hejem announces that Chris will be his successor and will eventually become the head of the Temple of Rasaed. Later, Rasaed appears before Hejem and says the world of the demons is changing and so is the entire world. Rasaed also says that Chris will play an integral role in the change. Rasaed tells Hejem that Chris is a precious jewel to him and to take good care of him. In order to release the pain of his mother's death, Rasaed erases Chris' memory. Chris wakes up with no memory of who he is but he does know one thing, he hates demons. As Chris grows and learns, he continues to spend all his time focused on destroying demons. Hejem loves Chris beyond measure but also knows that Chris needs to broaden his views. Eclipse agrees to take Chris in for a short time but doesn't guarantee that Chris will learn anything. At the end of the book, a demon lord arrives at Raenef's castle. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. Paperback. Condition: Very Good. "Ghostlands": To Dar'khan's taunting voice, Anveena awakens to the horrific spectacle of wasted Quel'Thalas.now a place akin to the Plaguelands. Dar'khan welcomes her to his former home, remarking on how beautiful it now is. She asks why he has brought her here and he says because it is her former home, too. Meanwhile, Tyri carries Kalec and Jorad toward the very same realm, following Raac, who somehow seems to know exactly where Anveena must be. This is a matter of discussion between the characters, as is why Dar'khan, thought dead, has stolen Anveena but not Raac. Raac, it was, whom they assumed had the link to this Sunwell that the elf talked of. Kalec begins to wonder about Anveena. He recalls her parents and their odd manner and begins to suspect that they are not what they appeared to be. And while they fly there, something else lands in the wasted realm. It is discovered by an Undead, but destroys that monster completely. Then, where it seemed some gigantic shadow, it is now the mysterious wizard seen watching the spheres. Others watch Dar'khan, survivors of the High Elf race who are trying their best to keep their lost land from further corruption by those like the Scourge. A band of about a dozen or so warriors and spellcasters led by Lor'themar Moonsword. He knows Dar'khan, but wonders what evil the other intends for this human. Some of his companions attempt to free Anveena, but Dar'khan summons dead souls from under the earth and has them easily slain. Anveena, however, does escape, but is alone in the bleak land. Violent, unnatural storms buffet the others, forcing them to land. Tyri changes form to be less noticeable. Jorad admires her and while she is Kalec's intended, the paladin's attention is welcome after Kalec's lack of interest. They come across what was once an elven settlement and are attacked by a leechlike undead who seizes upon Tyri. Jorad reaches her first, slicing off its head. They run across Lor'themar's survivors, who tell them of Anveena and Dar'khan. Anveena still wanders. She imagines her parents and reflects on what Dar'khan said. Suddenly, her life seems false. She concentrates, trying to remember childhood events, but instead recalls the shadowy form of Borel, the wizard. As he more and more fills her thoughts, Anveena remembers strange words, about 'the time not yet right' and 'the shell in which to hide'. And in the midst of this, she is confronted by the wizard from the previous two books who, despite his lack of hooded face, lack of beard, and other differences, she immediately senses is Borel. Elsewhere, Lor'Themar suggests the outsiders leave, this still being elven land in his eyes.until he hears the Sunwell mentioned. When Raac is presented as some tie to it, the elf uses his magic, then declares no trace of the Sunwell's power resides in the creature. That verifies for Kalec what he suspected; Anveena is the vessel in which the latent power of the elves now resides.and if Dar'khan frees it, it will be his to manipulate. It will also cost Anveena her existence. Tyri and Lor'Themar argue that she is not real, anyway, merely a facade, but Kalec refuses that. Borel tries to convince Anveena to come with him, saying only he knows the full truth and can reveal it, but far from this dangerous place. He tells her to remember him now and what he did, but Anveena doesn't want to recall such things. Power lashes out at Borel and as it does, we see outlined in his shape that of what seems a dragon. Anveena looks horrified at what she did and checks him. However, even though he is alive (and far stronger than he looked) he is unconscious. And at that moment, Dar'khan seizes her from behind, using her concern for Borel as a distraction. He takes both with him, saying that her companion will be a boon to the spell by which the elf will suck the energy of the Sunwell out of her. With Kalec refusing to give in, the party heads to where Lor'Themar says the Sunwell used to be. As they near, they see.

Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Kaoru and Tina wind up visiting the West Animal Zoo together, when everyone calls up to say that they can't make it. Tina's overwhelmed by the sight of the animals (especially the Kinshikou, a type of monkey), saying how it's always been her dream to work with animals for a living. Within the zoo, they find an attraction, which ends up being a crazy Indiana Jones/Wedding type game. Kaoru's fit into an action outfit (Indiana Jones-ish) and is repeatedly assaulted by booby-traps and the like. In the meantime, Tina's given the choice of saying that her relationship with Kaoru is: not even friends, more than friends, or one and only love. She's torn between her semi-close feelings for Kaoru but is afraid to reveal it. She chooses choice No. 2 and is immediately fit into an extravagant wedding gown! While she's having an inner-battle about how to deal with the situation, Kaoru suddenly charges in and they have an instant of romance between them. Back at home Aoshi frets how it' started to rain, while Tina and Kaoru wait outside the gates. They're another brief moment of romantic tension between the two when Tina tends to a scratch on Kaoru's hand. Continuing where the last chapter left off, Tina and Kaoru find out that the trains aren't running, so they decide to kill time at a Karaoke place. They have fun at the Karaoke, Tina incredibly pleased that they have so much time to spend together. In an attempt to reveal her feelings for Kaoru secretly, she sings Fly Me to the Moon, a gentle love song directed at Kaoru. Aoshi calls Tina up on her cell-phone, worried, but Tina explains the situation, and Kaoru and Tina leave the Karaoke place, headed for the train station. On the way, they swap thanks for such a fun day. When they arrive, however, they find that the train just left again! Doh! Lucks evades the two again, when a Love Hotel winds up being the only place they can stay for the night! The air is full of tension as the two try to make light of the situation and try to ignore the scandalous-ness of their situation! There are some funny moments when they try relaxing with some television, but there's only porn being shown. They fill up the hours playing video games and Tina takes a shower, where she contemplates her actions. Likewise, Kaoru starts to think of Tina in a new light, and the night ends with Tina collapsing on the bed and sleeping innocently. The next morning, the pair is still jittery about the previous night, and Tina asks if she can hold Kaoru's hand to the station. A happy upbeat ending!
