No Jacket. 126pp; a few small nicks in inner margin of a few leaves. 12mo orig. red cloth, a little marking on covers, Books which belonged to Evelyn Waugh [1903-1966] are very scarce on the market, as after he died, his library at Combe Florey, near Taunton, containing many of his manuscripts and some 3,000 books were sold en bloc to The Henry Ransom Center at Austin Texas. Even rarer are books he owned as a schoolboy. Evelyn was at Lancing College in Sussex from 1916 to 1921.Provenance. From his childhood friend Jean Fleming who lived near the Waugh family home, and then by family descent.
