Dabei wird empirisch vorgegangen, Fakten einerseits und unbewiesene Hypothesen und Spekulationen andererseits werden möglichst sauber getrennt. Es soll vermieden werden, einfach einige zu einer bevorzugten Hypothese passende Bei spiele zu geben - denn man findet bekanntlich für alles Bei spiele - vielmehr soll versucht werden, zu den einzelnen Fragen so gut wie möglich das Ganze ins Auge zu fassen und dadurch den Stellenwert einzelner Befunde besser zu beurteilen. Selbst verständlich ist es ausgeschlossen, auf diese Art das Thema Aggression vollständig zu behandeln. Es müssen Schwerpunkte gesetzt werden.
