The endpapers have a blue and white map titled Our Alaskan-Yukon Trail. 13 chapters; numerous b/w photos; new epilogue by Herman P. Dean. The top end of the text block has light foxing. The cover's bottom edge, the top and bottom edges of the spine strip, and the boards' front corners have color loss from shelf wear rubbing. DJ: An illustration spans three panels. A label is on a top corner of the front panel. The spine panel has large chips and short closed tears on each end. Chips are on the ends of the flaps' folds and most of the corners of the front and back panels. Crease lines are along the bottom edge and part of the top edge. Color loss is adjacent to the damages.
