Very good copy in very good dust jacket with some minor edge wear. 1939 ownership signature on front pastedown. Dust jacket quotes reviews on the front inside flap and states "Second printing" on the spine panel and front inside flap.A well made book, very readable with a great breadth of information, and written in the light of the mass organizing efforts of the 1930s. Chapters on the United Mine Workers, the Newspaper Guild, Pullman company, etc. A 1974 New York Times obituary of the author says he died at age 60. It is astonishing that this was written by him in his mid-20s.
