Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+. 1st Edition. First edition, hardcover, signed by Jones on the title page, the book has a minor skew to the binding, very slight bumps to the spine ends, and a touch of bowing to the covers. Otherwise this is a solid, tight, clean Very Good+ copy in a like unclipped dust jacket, which has mild bumps to the spine ends and corners, some faint rubbing to the covers, and a hint of faint sunning to the spine. The jacket is wrapped in a Mylar cover.

Hardcover. Condition: New. Dust Jacket Condition: New. 1st Edition. Algonquin Books, 2018, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Hard Cover. Book Condition: New. Dust Jacket Condition: New. Stated "First Edition", first printing with a full number line starting at "1". 9-1/4" tall, 308 numbered pages includes "Acknowledgements"; one-piece lightly textured black binding, gilt lettering on spine only; front board has the author's initials blind stamped side-by-side 3" from the top edge; plain ivory end pages; fore edge is trimmed. Book is square, hinges tight, corners not bumped, no dings on edges, upper rear corner at head of spine lightly bumped, interior clean and unmarked; no page corners folded or damaged; upper front gutter has 1-5/8" break in the binding (it does not weaken the seam, it just looks unpleasant), clearly a manufacturing defect; no remainder mark, not book club edition nor ex-library; no staining or discoloration. Jacket is pristine: it is clean; no tears, folds, creases or fading; no bumps on spine or edges; very slight bump at head of spine; publisher's original price of "$26.95 U.S." listed on the upper right corner of front flap; 1-1/2" circular black-on-white "AUTOGRAPHED / EDITION" sticker near the upper right corner of the front panel; 2-1/4" x 1" black-on-white store sticker (author, title, price, ISBN number & bar code) on lower edge of the rear panel; (there is no "OPRAH'S BOOK CLUB" sticker). Condition of book and jacket consistent with being brand new and not read. No other discernible or objectionable faults on book or jacket such as marks or writing within, stains, tears, chips, or other damage that would diminish its appearance. No remainder mark, no previous owner markings or inscriptions, not price clipped, not a book club edition, not a former library book. Rather legibly signed by the author in medium black felt pen near the bottom of title page beneath her printed name. According to the author, the true first edition had a first printing of 15,000 copies, whereas the first printing of the Oprah edition is at least 100,000 copies. Given the immediate popularity of this book, and the small size of the first printing, true first editions are likely to become quite rare. Signed by Author(s).
