Dr. William Waters (1799-1862) was a physician born near modern-day Germantown, MD, who attended medical school at the University of Maryland. He established a practice in Montgomery County for several years before relocating to Frederick. He held several leadership roles for the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland, including Vice-President (1857-58).
