Hardcover. Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. 8vo., 264pp, Beautiful First Edition with no other printings listed as called for. Bound in tan cloth with titles in red on front board and spine. Red top-stain. This the first edition with this title after the unfortunately named British edition published by Collins Crime Club the previous year. Square, tight and clean throughout with no toning or foxing. A touch of wear at the spine ends but quite minor. Top-stain and spine lettering a touch dulled but barely. Lacking the scarce dust-jacket. Arguably Christie's finest work and certainly among her most well-known, though the quite racist British title is a head-scratcher and almost as controversial then as now. A remarkably well-preserved copy and almost never seen in such high grade condition.
Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. First Ed Thus. First American Ed. Good/Fine condition, moderate over all wear to book, boards, especially spine, foxed, erasure marks on FEP. In fine condition facsimile dustjacket. Book.

First Edition
First edition. First appearance anywhere of And Then There Were None, in 7 issues of The Saturday Evening Post running consecutively from May, 20 to July 1, 1939 (with 30 illustrations by Frank Wiles). Early issues here precede the English serialization in the Daily Express and both book editions (London, November 6, 1939, and New York, January 1940). Original color wrappers, staple bound, some pages loose from the staples (in June 17 and July 1 issues) but each issue is complete and well preserved. Overall in very good condition. Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None (Ten Little Indians) is a masterpiece and one of the world's best-selling mystery novels. Christie includes, for example, no Poirot or Marple-like detective to solve the mystery and unmask the killer. Nor are any of the victims innocent. They are all deemed guilty and receive justice, albeit through the actions of a murderer. Ten strangers die because a murderer judges them guilty of past crimes. Christie thus offers a unique take on both guilt and justice, revealing that guilt can manifest and be perceived in many ways. All issues housed in an attractive clamshell case.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Crime Club - Collins . London. 1972. 252 pages. Hardcover with ORIGINAL DUSTJACKET with price intact on the flap. DJ has Purple lettering on a faded pink cover. While the 10 little characters on the cover are clearly depicted, the hand which is reaching over to pluck off one of the characters has blended into the faded background color unless you look closely. The hand is white in color and the faded pink cover now looks cream so the contrast between the two has lessened. This is the highly collectible DJ with 10 black characters, 2 holding a spear and one eating what appears to be a watermelon. 1.00 net price printed on inside front flap. THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION DJ. THIS DJ WAS ISSUED WITH THIS HARDCOVER BY COLLINS - CRIME CLUB. Originally published in 1939, this copy was reprinted in a tiny quantity under original title before being pulled in 1972. DJ has a few small chips along edges and a small faint moisture cloud at bottom of backstrip that kind of blends in. Inside flap shows some discoloration along edge. Red cloth panels are bright with black lettering on spine. Book has been handled and read. corners rounded/bumped. small dent along one edge. Front free endpaper has a 1 inch chip at top corner. Endpaper has a matching discoloration line from the DJ flap edge. Green ink appears to say HS 10P with a line through it. Copyright page has a faint withdrawn stamp and a circular stamp stating Dudley Libraries. No other evidence of such. No other stickers, stamps, pockets etc on either book or DJ. Title changed from Ten Little _______ to Ten Little Indians to And Then There Were None. This is one of the most sought after original titles + DJ in modern book collecting. This story is now being read in middle/high schools. The best selling mystery of all time.
