Original softcover binding, xxvii, 161 pages, numerous colour plates, one page has been removed and trimmed at the edges and then reglued to the book, few pencil notes, good condition. Large format book on an interesting private collection of art from Tibet, Nepal and the other Himalayan countries, i.a. early wood carvings, a silver statue of Pehar, an impressive iron Phurbu, to name but a few. Published in conjunction with the exhibition "A Collector`s Passion: South Asian Selections from the Nalin Collection" at the Rubin Museum, 12 June - 9 November 2009. Apparently published in only a small edition, long out of print with fantasy prices on the net. From the library of Tibet collector and art historian Michael Henss (without ownership mark).
