Martin Luther King Sr. (1899 - 1984) was the father of Martin Luther King, Jr., a Baptist minister and influential figure in the early civil rights movement. He served as the pastor of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, from 1931 until his retirement in 1975. Throughout his life, King Sr. advocated for desegregation and equal rights for African Americans, and he played a significant role in shaping his son's activism.
