Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. First Edition; First Printing. A handsome first edition/first printing in unread Fine condition in Fine dust-jacket with a little edgewear. Signed by author Manuel Ramos directly on the title page; Ramos's novel tells the story of Gato Guerrero, a luchador who, driven by a burning passion for the ring, becomes one of Mexico's most celebrated wrestlers. Spanning the years 1932 to 1952, the novel follows Gato as he clashes with the toughest challengers in Mexico City, Monterrey, and Los Angeles.Although Gato is a skilled wrestler, he is also a highly emotional character, and his battles with opponents reflect this. In addition to the physical challenge of the ring, Gato must also face the challenges of family, love, and life in general. Ultimately, his struggles define him as a man and help him to become the great wrestler he is.I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Ballad of Gato Guerrero by Manuel Ramos. The novel is written in a style that is easy to read and flows along smoothly. The story is full of action, adventure, and heartwarming moments. I found myself drawn into the world of G; 8vo; Signed by Author.
