Dark purple coloured cloth boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. There is self embossed illustration of a plane on the front book panel. Bumping to the backstrip edges and rubbing to the book corners. Flecking to the lower edge of the front dustwrapper panel, along the front spine gutter edge, lower edge of the backstrip and to the top right-hand corner of the backstrip. Rubbing to the book panels and browning and foxing to the text block edge. Light browning to the internal text. Photographic dustwrapper with white titles to the front panel and backstrip. Black-and-white photograph of the author to the rear dustwrapper panel. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. The biography of the author who became a American fighter pilot during World War II and the Korean war. What makes the author different is that he was an ordained Minister before he became a fighter pilot and that during the Korean War saw that the war orphans of Seoul were at risk and so organised " Operation Kiddy Car ".
