Book Good, cover with dirt and scratches, severe edgewear and bumping; lower corners of cover are rounded off, Hinges starting, else binding is sound. Ghosts of various leaves inside (book was used for pressing them, it seems). Includes the Brownie Bookmark, a bookmark printed with a poem about the proper care of books. Dedicated and Signed to Jno. J. Dulaney jr. from his Grandfather Jno. J. Dulanley, Christmas 1888.

Fraying of the fragile binding at the spine tips and outer joints, minor loss of surface at the lower center spine and lower front corner. Light sunning at the upper front cover; contents fresh. A very good copy. This copy PRESENTED BY COX to The Printer's Home Library, Colorado Springs with his presentation note and signature on the presentation page. In addition, he has done an ORIGINAL DRAWING OF A BROWNIE on the verso of the presentation page along with a handwritten greeting, "May the reader take as much pleasure in looking over this book as the author found in producing it. / Palmer Cox / Brownieland, 1906". An extraordinary copy of his first Brownie book. Inscribed by Author(s).
