Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 33 pages, 121 illustrations; 30 cm. Text in Polish. Good+. Firm binding, clean inside copy. Stable binding, with significant wear to the crown and bumped corners. Unmarked. Dust jacket worn at extremities. OVERSIZE! No priority/international, except by special arrangement. Profusely illustrated with works by Bernardo Bellotto (1720-80), sometimes confusingly known as "Canaletto", nephew of the more famous painter of the same name, who painted views of Venice and the Grand Canal. In 1764, Bellotto was invited by King Stanisaw August Poniatowski of Poland to become his court painter in Warsaw, where he remained for the rest of his life. This album is a fascinating compendium of images of old Warsaw in the late eigheenth century. Size: 4to.
