Loosely inserted is a copy of a three-page, typewritten document giving some insight into the author's life and times, anonymous but written in a familiar style indicating that the writer probably new Flora Thompson. Also loosely inserted is a newspaper article about the author. Each book is protected by a clear, removable cover of archival quality. (Bibliographic note: these three books were subsequently published as a single volume in 1945 by Oxford University Press entitled "Lark Rise to Candleford" with wood engravings by Julie Neild). Weysprings Books is a Member of: the IOBA and PBFA, and subscribes to the Associations' Codes of Ethics.
