Dutton, USA, 1974, hardback, 1st/1st, VG+ book in a NF jacket, amazing publication error by Dutton, book jacket is the original American translation of the classic ' The Captive Dreamer' and the book itself is ' The Captive Dreamer' (red boards with black print on spine) while the actual book inside is Herbert Kohl' s ' Half the House' a highly sought after book in and of itself. These two collectible books were both published by Dutton in 1974 and somehow Dutton got the wrong bookplates and jackets on the wrong novel. This is a significant collectors item and I cannot find mention of this anywhere. Dutton claims they do not go back that far in regard to misprints. If you are looking for a real conversation piece this is it. 1ST PRINTING.
