Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. William Wellons (illustrator). First Edition. This is a title in the Rivers of America series. 418 pages; b/w maps and other illustrations. The cover has beige cloth; the title block and top end of the text block are brown. The copyright page has the publisher's logo. The binder's glue has darkened the cover's joints and the pastedowns. One board corner is lightly bumped. The front endpaper has an owner's initials, a gift inscription dated 1953, and four tape stains. "The Chagres Queen" that is part of the inscription may be referencing the boat that is in a b/w photo that is laid-in. The frontal matter pages each have vertical, light bend line. The pages have a musty odor. DJ: Price clipped. Most of the white areas have darkened. The spine panel is chipped on each end, up to 1 1/2 in. wide; the ends of the flaps' folds are a little chipped. A dz. closed tears are 1/8 in. to 1 in. The front panel and flap each have a vertical crease line. Scans e-mailed upon request.
