Condition: Gut. 11. Auflage. 207 (1) Seiten. 18 cm. Umschlaggestaltung: Atelier Heinrichs. Guter Zustand. Buchkanten etwas berieben. Mai 1890 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin; 31. . . . Aus: wikipedia-Edward_E._Smith. Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 150 Taschenbuch. Kartoniert mit einem selbstentworfenen Schutzumschlag.

Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. The Outward Urge , by John Wyndham and Lucas Parkes, is The story of man s leap into the seas of space. This 1959 Ballantine Original (341K) was the First American Edition of this Wyndham title. The cover art is an early example of Paul Lehr s inimitable style. From the cover blurb : . the restless questing of mankind has sent him out across the seas of space Nobody knows for certain what will be found out thereThat is why they go. To some men the unknown calls like a magnet, the siren call of adventure and exploration, needling the ever-present drive to discover things that no man has seen before //// TITLE : The Outward Urge. AUTHOR : John Wyndham & Lucas Parkes. COVER ARTIST : Paul Lehr. IMPRINT : Ballantine Books. PLACE : New York. DATE : (1959). EDITION : First American Edition. STATUS : Op - Out of Print. Mass Market Paperback, silver age size; 143 pages plus 1 page of publisher s list; 4 1/4 x 7 ; pictorial wraps, glued; text-block edges dyed orange. Original 35¢ price on front cover. //// CONDITION Near Very Good This is a previously owned book which remains clean and attractive, with the following particulars noted: EXTERIOR : No crease to spine, but spine does have a slight roll - and, as well, there is evidence of slight mending to a nick at the head of the spine. Front cover displays brightly, with but modest surface rub; rear cover has a minute impact nick that extends to a tiny top edge tear on the final page - else rear cover is bright with modest surface rub. Text-block edges are slightly weathered (darkened). BINDING A slight lean to the front, slight shift of text-block, but the whole is still fairly solid. INTERIOR Paper is toned, else clean and free of marking. The glue used in just about all vintage paperbacks of such age has likely dried, and the binding is possibly more fragile than current paperbacks, thus care should be taken when handling them.
